About CareerSet
Our Story
In late 2018, CareerSet was founded by Chris Schaap and Rohan Mahtani with a clear mission in mind: to help job seekers secure their dream jobs. With a background in the software industry and a passion for Artificial Intelligence, we set out on a journey to support university career teams and enhance the employability of students and job seekers alike.
As graduates based in London, our founders were fully aware of the advanced recruitment technologies used by employers to filter and rank candidates. We recognised the need to level the playing field and provide the right tools to help job seekers succeed in the application process.
In early 2019, we partnered with the University of York to develop a solution for instant CV scoring and advice. Since then, we have established partnerships with 65+ other educational institutions, and our solutions are now accessible to over one million students and graduates.
In addition to providing CV advice, we launched a CV tailoring advice service to help job seekers rank higher in recruitment software. We also introduced a revolutionary cover letter feedback solution to help candidates stand out from the competition.
